Balls and Ramps Showcase @ HES VIDEO

The Racing Balls group did an amazing job with their Balls and Ramps creation.  They worked so hard making a great presentation for the parents.  Mrs. Simpson is such a wonderful teacher and all the students knew their jobs really well.
Eleanor with her new friend, Britney. (It was also orange day.)

Mommy made a visit to Ms. Moran's room to see cousin Eli with his ramp.

Kindergarten Will Wear You Out!!!

Our sweet girl was EXHAUSTED by her 3rd day of Kindergarten!
Eleanor went straight to sleep the moment she put her head on the pillow.

Eleanor's First Homework Assignment (K5)

Eleanor's weekly homework routine consists of choosing 3 fun activities to do
with her three sight words.
She was very excited to write her sight words in whipped cream.

Eleanor's First Day of Kindergarten

Wow!  Our baby is off to the real world and it feels so strange  So many thoughts about how her day will go and how well she will do with a brand new schedule, new classmates, room, teacher, and school........

We started the day early with both her Daddy and I walking her in to her room.  Of course her sweet teacher was greeting everyone at the door with a smile and a hug.  Eleanor seemed so confident and ready to go!  She found her name tag and seat and began playing with play dough as Daddy and I gave her our last hugs before we left.  That afternoon I could not wait to pick her up and see how her first day went.  She was so very excited but unsurprisingly quiet about her first day activities.  After dodging a ton of questions from mommy, she admitted that she had a great day as she ran to her playroom to play.

Of course Mommy wanted her to wear something special on her first day of school.  Eleanor chose a back to school shirt with an artist pallet on it.  When I asked her why, she simply said, "my K4 teacher always said I would grow up to be an artist one day".

Getting Ready for Kindergarten!

Wow!  I cannot believe we are preparing to send our sweet little baby girl to Kindergarten!
This just DOES NOT seem real!  Although it was a little fun to shop for school supplies, a lunchbox, and school clothes, Mommy is having a very hard time with this!

Eleanor and I attended HES's Teacher Meet and Greet and got to take her supplies to her classroom and talk to her sweet teacher, Mrs. Simpson.  Eleanor is so very excited to be in the "ladybug room" and in Mrs. Simpson's class this year.  I know this will be a great year in Kindergarten!
