Our First Disney Trip: Animal Kingdom

We spent our last day in Disney at the Animal Kingdom park.  This was our 5th straight day in the parks so we were exhausted by this point, but still looking forward to spending our time together and seeing new things.

I will always cherish this special time that my little family spent together just the three of us.  I find myself smiling as I remember all of the fun we had together in this magical place.

Our favorites in Animal Kingdom included:
It's Tough to Be a Bug
Kilimanjaro Safari
The Festival of the Lion King stage show
Meeting Mickey and Minnie
Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade

Waiting on the park to open!

Our First Disney Trip: Hollywood Studios

We started our day at Hollywood Studios with a character breakfast at Hollywood and Vine.  Characters included Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, and Special Agent Oso.  The breakfast buffet was DELICIOUS!  Eleanor was a big fan of their "Mickey Waffles".  My mom, stepdad, niece and nephew also joined us for breakfast.  The kids loved dancing and singing with the music during the live performances.  After breakfast we ran into some of Mommy and Daddy's all time favorite characters including Donald and Daisy Duck, Pluto, and Chip and Dale.

Our favorite ride at Hollywood Studios was Toy Story's "Midway Mania".  We waited well over an hour to ride it but it was worth every second.  There was so much to look at while you waited that it really wasn't that bad of a wait time.  There were so many little details from the Toy Story movies all around you.  We also rode the Star Wars ride together, yes ALL THREE OF US!  Wow!  I doubt any of us will get on that simulation ride again.  It wasn't terrible, we just do not do well with simulation rides.  Eleanor said, "Mommy, I do not want to do that one again!" I can't blame her.  It wasn't my thing either!

Another one of our favorites from Hollywood Studios was the Beauty and the Beast stage show.  IT WAS AWESOME!  Eleanor and Mommy enjoyed singing every song and reciting almost every line.  Beauty and the Beast has always been one of our favorites to enjoy together.  It was special to watch and sing with her during this show.  Later that night, we had dinner at Mama Melrose Italian Restaurant in the park.  This was not a character dining but still delicious and fun.
