Summer Beach Trip 2012 {Panama City Beach, FL}

We enjoyed another great trip to the beach this year.  Each year Chris, Eleanor, and I take a special trip to Panama City Beach with Chris's parents and his brother Andy.  We always get room 302 at our favorite Aqua Resort.  It is so special to get the same room each year- it almost feels like it is our own beach vacation home- I WISH!  The weather could not have been more perfect and the beach more beautiful.  The water was crystal clear and there were even a few sandbars to play on- perfect for our Itsy Bitsy.

It is so nice to be able to spend time with family, especially Chris's brother, Andy. Andy flew directly to Panama City from Columbia, MD on Satruday afternoon and stayed the week as well.  Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her Uncle Andy and his seeing eye dog, Uncle Jo Jo, as she calls him.  Eleanor loved swimming with Uncle Andy in the pool, splashing him, and showing him her "tricks" in the water.  She would often say, "Watch this Andy", before spinning or doing some other trick in the pool.  It was cracking us all up that she was trying to show him what she was doing.  Of course later Chris tried to explain that he could not see, pretty sure she was a little lost with that one dear.

Eleanor enjoyed the beach and especially the ocean most of all.  The first words out of her mouth every morning were, "let's go to the beach".  She was ready to go as soon as her little feet hit the ground and couldn't get enough of it.  We never could stay out there long enough for her or go often enough.  She just loved it!  She built sandcastles with Mommy and Daddy, surfed in the ocean on what she called her "skateboard" which was actually her boogie board, and collected seashells.  Chris and I enjoyed watching her have her fun. Uncle Andy and Papa were always in the pool to greet Eleanor when she wanted to come in from the beach.  She loved splashing them and playing with them in the pool.

Everyone enjoyed spending time together and of course the week didn't last long enough, but we all had a great time!
