Eleanor is 6 months old!

My little girl is growing up too fast!  She is now 6 months old.  On November 30th Eleanor had her 6 month checkup.  She weighs 16 lbs. and 1 oz. and is 26 inches long.  She is in the 55th percentile for both her height and weight.  Of course she had to get her horrible shots and to make matters worse we went ahead and let her get both of the flu shots.  Dr. Mays thought that this was the best idea since Daddy works in a hospital and Mommy works around kids all day. She said that when a baby gets the flu it could be deadly and we weren't willing to take any chances.  She has done well with the shots and has not had any problems or symptoms.  Dr. Mays was very impressed that she has begun to crawl and go from a crawling position to sitting on her bottom without having to balance herself with her hands.  This is her favorite thing to do and now that she has mastered this skill, she has begun to crawl less.  Instead she will crawl a little and then get a little lazy and sit on her bottom to play awhile.

She also has not one but TWO teeth.  Her first tooth broke through a couple of days before her dedication and the other came in the day after.  Luckily she has taken it well, minus two nights that she was up quite a bit during the night.  She just layed on my shoulder and moaned that night.  Tylenol helped her a lot those nights.  Now she is doing great and has recently discovered her tongue.  She loves to stick her tongue out at people to make them laugh.  She is a funny little girl!

After her dedication, Mommy decided to take her 6 month pictures in her gorgeous outfit.
