Tablescapes 2009

On September 19th, my church, North Highlands Baptist had their 9th annual Tablescapes Women's Conference.  This was my 4th year to attend, 3rd  year to decorate a table, and 2nd year to decorate a table with Chris' mom.  This year Susan and I used the song "Jesus Loves the Little Children" as  our theme.  Our verse was Genesis 26:4, "I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed."  We decorated our table with maps, globes, and pictures of children from around the world.  We used a globe as our center piece and had flowers coming out of the top.  Loved it!  Our table was covered in a huge world map that Susan got.  We used red, yellow, black, and white colored plates to go along with the song.  The red and yellow plates, as well as all the glasses with the colored stripes were all mine.  I'm really glad that I was finally able to put them to use.  My favorite part of our table was that we were able to include pictures of Eleanor.  I was also able to use pictures from the London trip that Chris and I took last summer.  I had a great time!  The food was great and the tables were very creative!  I took some pictures of some other tables that were really cute.

Our Table

A "Garden" Table

This table was decorated by my friend, Heather.  I think it was such a good idea.  She used crayons and paint brushes, markers, etc. Her verse was "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."

This was another "Garden" table.  I thought it was so cute how she used rainboots and umbrellas as her centerpiece.

This was another cute kids table.  Paige painted and drew children on each of her plates.  She is so talented.  She also painted the picture in the centerpiece.  I loved how she had the candy too.

This was a cute "Fruit" table.  I can't remember the verse that she used though.
