Eleanor had her four month check up on September 25th. She now weighs 13 lbs. 9 1/2 ozs. and is 25 inches long. She has really grown since our last visit with Dr. Mays. Dr. Mays asked me to tell her all the neat things that Eleanor was doing and she was impressed to hear that she was rolling over both ways and often rolls from one end of a blanket to the other. She explained that rolling over in that way was usually seen around the 6th month. Dr. Mays was really impressed with Eleanor's development. She even mentioned that she thought that Eleanor was trying to grow up too fast and that she predicts that Eleanor will do many things early. Of course Daddy was excited to hear this especially because he crawled at 6 months and walked at 8 months. So to him, that is when she should do those things too. I always explain that she will do things in her own time. Dr. Mays also got to hear Eleanor laugh at her daddy (of course this was before the shots). Then came the shots. Baby girl did great until right after the first shot and then she lost it! It made Mommy and Daddy crenge to see our baby girl in pain. I have never seen such a face. Bless her little heart. After the nurse put on her band aids, Mommy got her and made her feel better with a bottle. She soon stopped crying, but you could still see these big tears on her little face. How pitiful!
