Hueytown Christmas Parade 2013
Chris, Eleanor, and I always look forward to Hueytown's annual Christmas parade. Chris designs and builds a float for our church's preschool department in his garage downstairs with the help of many other talented people. This years theme was "Old Time Christmas", so our float was built to look like old stores that used to be in this area along with a few "made up" store fronts that have special meaning to our church members. The children dressed up as toys and dolls and were so very excited to wave and throw candy to the happy people along the parade route. It was so sweet to hear the kids shouting, "Merry Christmas", as they threw their candy.
