Chris picked me up at dismissal on Friday and after a quick trip down the road to pick up Eleanor we were on our way! It took us about 7 hours to get to my Aunt Carrie and Uncle Scott's where we stayed from Friday to Tuesday. My sister Leslie and her family as well as my cousin Ashley and her family stayed there as well. We all had a great time! The little cousins played and played all day every day. The "big" kids (husbands) all had a blast going to the All Star race on Saturday night and "enduring" numerous Nerf gun wars with Haley and Zoey.
On Sunday the WHOLE Allison gang got on board a party boat to take a cruise around Lake Norman. We had a great time catching up with cousins that we hadn't seen in years. Afterwards we ate dinner together back at the restaurant. The induction was on Monday night in downtown Charlotte. It was a lot of fun to get dressed up and go watch Pop- pop do his thing in front of the Nascar peeps. I am so glad that we were able to go and share in all that fun with him and the rest of the family.
I think Chris loves Charlotte now as much as I do.We can't wait to go back!
