2 year old checkup

It is hard to believe my little princess is 2 years old!  On June 8th we went to Dr. Mays for Eleanor's 2 year old checkup.  She weighs 23 and 1/2 lbs. which puts her in the 8th percentile for weight.  Although this seems like a low weight, Dr. Mays was not concerned.  She said that Eleanor's weight was fine, just that she was going to be a petite little girl.  This wasn't new news given she has always been in the lower percentiles in weight.  She has also been recovering from the stomach virus.  Eleanor is now 33 and 3/4 inches tall.  This puts her in the 40th percentile for height.
She is the most loving little girl.  She will just wrap her little arm around us and pull us close giving the biggest hug or kiss.  Sometimes she will come up to you just to give you a kiss and then go back to playing.  Every morning she wakes up with a big grin on her face like she hasn't seen you in months.  She is such a joy!  I sometimes ask her if she knows how much we love her and she says, "I do!"(in  her silliest little voice with the quirkiest little grin).  She is very loving to her "babies" as well.  She rocks them, feeds them, and burps them.  She sings to them and brushes their hair.  She is quite the little mommy!  Her new favorite doll is her Disney Princess Ariel that her Nana and Papa gave her for her birthday.  They also gave her a Disney Princess Carriage that converts into a bedroom for the doll.  The other night after feeding and rocking Ariel she put her down in her Disney Princess bed, pulled the covers over her and turned to me with her finger over her lip saying, "shhh".  Then she patted her and kissed her good night.  It was precious!

She is definitely a toddler! Her favorite words are I, me, mine, myself, or "I do it myself mommy! She can throw quite a fit if she doesn't get her way or you don't do something quick enough! She is just as independent as she has always been. I shouldn't be surprised. She has even started picking out some of her clothes, luckily she will take suggestions from mommy. She insists on dressing herself too, but still needs a little bit of help from mommy. This makes for interesting wardrobe changes!
ELEANOR LOVES TO DANCE!  I have looked into dance class for her but most of them start at 3 years old.  Any time there is music she is dancing (when she knows she isn't being watched- we get a little shy).  One of her favorite shows is Dancing with the Stars.  LOVES IT!  She always dances with the music and imitates their steps, spins, and arm movements.  It is adorable to watch.  She really tries to do exactly what they are doing and will clap for them when they finish.  There is one certain song and dance that comes on Sesame Street where a little girl is dancing like a tree and a flower.  Eleanor has memorized the exact moves.  She loves when it comes on.  I want to get her on video.
