Happy 5th Anniversary to us!
Chris and I went to Huntsville and stayed at The Westin at the Bridge Street Town Center to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. It was the best weekend ever! The weather was perfect, the food was great, and the hotel was like nothing I had ever seen. It was so luxurious and comfy. Chris and I kept saying, "when we build our house I want it to look like this". It was amazing!
There was also a movie theatre that had a restaurant inside where we ate while watching the movie. It was really nice. We saw Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. The food was great and the movie was really good too. It was a neat experience.
A picture taken during our boat ride around the hotel and shops.
Cozying up with my honey....
A beautiful sunset.
A local musician.
Not sure what instrument he was playing but it sounded beautiful.
He was playing Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven".
The gorgeous carousel by the lake. Eleanor would have loved it!
A view of the bridge from our boat.
The fountain in front of the movie theatre and next door to the hotel.
The restaurant where we ate dinner. They had the best shrimp and grits and raspberry tea!
We had the best time just being with each other. It was so nice to not have any plans and do whatever we felt like doing. It was just what I needed. I really enjoyed walking around the shops and spending some time in the sunshine. This just might be our future getaway spot.
