Eleanor's first trip to Cloudland!

Every year we go to Cloudland Canyon in Trenton, Ga for "the fall picnic".  It is sort of a family reunion for Chris's dad's side of the family. They have been having it forever, well as long as Chris can remember. They always have it the third weekend in October, which is usually the Alabama vs. Tennessee game.  It is always a lot of fun to go every year and I think every year it gets more and more beautiful up there.  The trees could not have been more gorgeous.  You know I love the fall so I was in heaven!  We also got to see the waterfall this year, due to all the rain the past few months.  It was beautiful!  It has been a few years since there has been enough water for the waterfall, so this year was a treat!  You could hear the water from atop the mountain even before the descent to the bottom.  We sat there for the longest just watching the water rush off the top of the ledge.  All around the waterfall were trees with red, yellow and orange leaves and a gust of wind blew a bunch of leaves from the trees in front of the waterfall.  It was amazing.  The leaves just spun slowly into the water.  It was awesome.  It was so nice to slow down and just watch leaves fall, ya know? It really felt like time just stood still for a few minutes.  It was a nice feeling.

On our way...  Eleanor did great in the car.  She slept all but the last thirty minutes.  This was her first road trip and she really did well with it.

We finally made it!
